Future Hopes Integrated Development Organization (FHIDO) formerly known as Arada Child and Charitable Society is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit, secular, legally registered Ethiopian resident charity working to building self-reliant and self-sufficient generation in Ethiopia through comprehensive and sustainable development approach. Its vision is aspiring to see responsible, self-reliant and empowered citizen in Ethiopia. Since 1986 to 2010 FHIDO has been known as area coordination office of the then Christian Children Fund CCF. After September 2010 FHIDO reregistered as Ethiopian resident charity and operational in the ten districts of Arada sub-city and two districts of Burayu town in four core programmatic areas namely, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Basic Education, Youth Development and Yekokeb Berhan HVC project.

FHIDO is currently seeking for competent, qualified and interested applicants for the following position.

Position: - Program Coordinator

No. of Position: - One

Required Qualification: - BA/MA degree in Sociology, Social work, Development studies and other related social science field.

Work Experience: - 5 years for BA & 2 years for MA degree, NGO experience in community development with strong exposure to sponsorship and grant programs coordination.

Main Duties

The Program coordinator serves as an associate and advisor to the Manager in carrying out the primary program work of FHIDO in Addis Ababa. He/she will focus on technical implementation assistance, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation and providing programmatic advices.

 

Major skills required:

  • Strong team building and communication skills 
  • Excellent resource mobilization and project proposal writing skill
  • Proven Monitoring Evaluation Reporting Learning(MERL)Skill.
  • Excellent managerial, supervisory, report writing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and demanding timeframes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must possess excellent spoken and written English language skills
  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and Power Point 

Term of employment: One year with possibility of extension based on performance assessment

Salary: 11,358 (Eleven thousand Three Hundred Fifty-Eight birr) and attractive benefit packages.

Education:Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, Economics and other related social science fields.

Experience:Minimum 4 years and above NGO experience (after graduation) in Knowledge Management and Learning (KM&L) /Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)  

Required Skill: Excellent communication& publication, M&E ,best practice management and report writing skill both in Amharic and English language, Computer literate,

No of Position: One

Salary:  As per the Organization scale

Term of employment:  One year contract with possible extension based on proven performance.

Place of work:             Addis Ababa.

Future Hopes Integrated Development Organization (FHIDO) has reaffirmed its commitment to stand with the new initiative of the mayor’s office to support vulnerable children with educational support. As in the past, FHIDO’s support for improving the quality of education has continued and on September 4,2019 with the presence of FHIDO’s staffs and Arada sub city line office representatives and the media, FHIDO has handed over 20,000 exercise books, 20,000 pens and 7o58 pencils to Arada sub city education office.  The management of FHIDO and all staffs wish a very fruitful academic year for all students in 2012 E.C
