FHIDO has organized two days trainings on Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) model for about 30 FHIDO and staffs from partners. On the training it was able to enhance participants’ understanding on community-driven development works, bottom-up way of working with communities and focusing on community strengths and assets rather than on deficits and problems.

At the end of the training, participants were able to map and identify existing local skills and abilities of individuals within the community, identified  voluntary community organizations ,networks and associations and what they offer to the community, explored existing physical environments ,local economies as well as appreciating cultures and heritage of the community.

FHIDO’s management would like to extend its warm appreciation to the resource person, Ephrem Shiferaw for his extraordinary training facilitation and inspirational messages for trainees.
